Yum...and are these ever simple? I feel silly even posting the recipe, but I know I was clueless at one point, so hopefully it will help someone out there.
My kids actually prefer yams or sweet potato fries to the ones I make with regular yellow or white potatoes.
You can use just about any type of potatoes, sweet potatoes or yams that you like.
For these I used Red Garnet Yams....
2-3 big potatoes feeds the four us in one sitting, there is usually never leftovers.
1. Peel the potatoes
2. Slice the peeled potatoes. Add a drizzle of oil and mix it up with your hands.
(I use coconut oil, but you can also use olive oil or canola oil. Whatever you typically use is fine.)
3. Spread out on a cookie sheet. You can sprinkle with salt if you like, but these really do not need any seasoning at all.
4. Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes. I usually turn them over at about 25 minutes and turn the oven off, but leave them in while preparing the rest of the meal. Leave them in as long as you like depending on your "crispness" preference. That's all there is too it.
ENJOY!!
